London has 24 Dixy outlets on the Food Standards Agency register, which we last checked on 24 September 2026. They’re spread across 10 boroughs, and every one of them is north of the river. Most are in east London, from Hackney and Walthamstow out to Ilford and Romford, with a handful further north in Tottenham, Edmonton and Edgware.
This page lists all of them with the address, current hygiene rating and last inspection date. It also covers prices, halal certification and how to check a branch is open before you go. We’re an independent site with no connection to the Dixy brand.

Dixy Chicken London: every branch
The list below comes from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) register, grouped by borough. One thing to know first: not every shop with Dixy over the door is necessarily part of the same business. 7 of the London shops are registered as Dixy Original or Dixy Fried Chicken, and they may be run separately from the Dixy Chicken franchise. We’ve included them because people searching for Dixy often mean them, but their menus and prices can differ. Click a rating to see the full FSA inspection record.

Closest to central London
There’s no Dixy in the West End or the City. The nearest to the centre is on Fortess Road in Kentish Town (NW5), which scored a 5 at its February 2026 inspection. After that, the Hackney shops on Amhurst Road, Kingsland High Street in Dalston and Stoke Newington High Street are the easiest to reach, and all of them are a short bus ride from Liverpool Street.
South and west London
If you live south of the Thames, there isn’t a Dixy on the FSA register anywhere near you. West London is almost as bare. The closest options are in Edgware to the north-west or the east London shops in Newham. Chicken shops are everywhere in south London, of course, just under other names.
What the hygiene ratings mean
Ratings run from 0 to 5. A 5 means the inspector found very good standards and a 3 is generally satisfactory. From 0 to 2, the council wants improvements, and at 0 it wants them urgently. The score covers food handling, the state of the premises and how the shop manages food safety. It says nothing about how the chicken tastes.
London’s Dixy shops split fairly clearly. Of the 24 on the register, 8 scored 5 and 8 scored 4, so two thirds are rated good or very good. At the other end, 7 were rated 2 or below, including the Hoe Street shop in Walthamstow, which was given a 0 in May 2026. Look up the exact address before you order, particularly if you’re ordering through an app and can’t see inside.
What you’ll pay in London
London prices usually run a little above the rest of the country, because rents and wages are higher. Each shop sets its own menu, so there’s no London price list. A branch on a busy high road may charge more than one on a side street a mile away.
Use our UK menu prices guide as a baseline and expect to pay toward the top of those ranges. Delivery apps add their own mark-up on top of the counter price.
Opening hours and delivery
Every franchise sets its own hours. Shops on busy high roads like Tottenham High Road or Kingsland High Street tend to stay open later, while quieter ones close earlier in the week. There’s no central list, so the delivery app listing is your best guide to whether a shop is open right now. For festive dates, see our Christmas and bank holiday hours guide.
Other chicken shops in London
London has more chicken shops than it knows what to do with. Chicken Cottage, Sam’s Chicken and KFC are all widespread, and south London belongs to Morley’s. If you’re choosing between them, see our comparisons of Dixy and Morley’s, Dixy and Chicken Cottage, and the wider chain comparison.
If you are in far west London or near Heathrow, the Farnham Road branch in Slough may be closer than any London Dixy. Our Dixy Chicken Slough page has its hours and prices.
Before you go
With branches spread across north and east London, a delivery app with your postcode is the fastest way to see which one reaches you. Our guide to finding your nearest Dixy goes into more detail. Dixy sells itself as a halal chicken brand, but each shop arranges its own certificate, so see our halal guide if you want to check one.
