This page explains how we research, write, check and update the information on Dixy Chicken Info, and what happens when we get something wrong. If you rely on our prices or branch details, this is how they are put together.
Who writes the content
Everything on the site is published under the Dixy Chicken Info Editorial Team byline. We are a small independent team with no connection to Dixy Chicken, Dixy Group Holdings Limited or any franchisee, and nobody on the team is paid by a restaurant brand. Where our information comes from
We prefer sources a reader could check for themselves. In rough order of trust, we use:
- Menu boards and printed menus at individual branches.
- Branch listings on the main UK delivery apps, noting that app prices are often higher than counter prices.
- Public branch listings and official food hygiene rating records for addresses and ratings.
- Public information from halal certification bodies for halal questions.
- Price reports and corrections sent in by readers, which we review before using.
How we handle prices
Dixy Chicken branches are franchised, so prices are set locally and there is no single official price list. Because of that we publish price ranges rather than one exact figure. Where we have checked a menu or app listing, the range reflects what we found. Where no current listing was available, mainly outside the UK, the range is an estimate based on typical local fast-food prices, and we say so on the page.
Prices are shown in local currency. They are a guide to what you can expect to pay, not a quote, and your branch may charge more or less.
Checking and updating pages
We revisit our price, branch and opening hours pages regularly and when readers tell us something has changed. When a page is meaningfully updated, the date shown on that page changes too. Branch closures and new openings are added as soon as we can confirm them.
Corrections
If you spot an outdated price, a closed branch or a factual mistake, please email contact@dixychickeninfo.com or use our contact page. The more detail you include (town, street, item name, price paid and date), the faster we can check it. We review every correction and update the page if it holds up.
Halal, allergen and nutrition information
Our halal, allergen and calorie pages are general guides put together from public information. Certification can change and recipes vary between branches, so they should not replace checking with the branch itself. If you have a food allergy, always ask staff before ordering.
Independence and advertising
We are not paid for favourable coverage, and no restaurant reviews or approves our pages before they go live. Our comparisons with other chicken chains aim to be fair to every brand we mention. If the site shows advertising, it is kept separate from our editorial content and advertisers have no say in what we publish.
Trademarks and images
