The chain made its name selling cheap fried chicken out of small high-street units, and most branches are still counter-service takeaways with a couple of tables rather than proper restaurants. How much do prices vary in the UK?
The same item can differ by 20 to 35% between the cheapest and dearest UK branches. Suburban shops in Yorkshire, the Midlands and outer London usually sit at the bottom of the ranges above. Central London, Zone 1 stations and anything close to an airport sits at the top. Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo add another 10 to 25% before delivery and service fees. In student areas you will often find evening discounts that never get advertised, and a few shops still knock a bit off for cash.
